Opened in Spain the first sundial in the world dedicated to the syndrome Down
It is located in Huesca, and has been ceded to the city by DOWN HUESCA occasion of its 25th anniversary.
Huesca, already has the first and only 'chromosomal' sundial of the world. It is a work that bears the signature of leridano geneticist Augustin Serés, DOWN HUESCA donated to the association on the occasion of its 25th anniversary. This in turn has given to the city as a thank you for all the support received by institutions, companies and society oscense work during this journey.
It is an equatorial sundial, oriented with the axis of the Earth and allows also see, at night, the Great Bear. The 24 types of chromosomes of a person with Down syndrome, with the triple chromosome in the pair match 21- 24 time zones that will mark the day time. The work is located in the rear of the Palace of Congresses of the city.
